Hockey fans and shoppers can get game-day deals and a free shuttle from a Brampton mall to the Steelheads’ home opener this week.
Bramalea City Centre and the Brampton Steelheads Hockey Club announced the new partnership on Thursday ahead of the team’s season opener at the CAA Centre on Friday.
The mall will have “exclusive” deals for game day, giving fans the opportunity to shop and save before making their way to CAA Centre for the home opener.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Brampton Steelheads and bring together two organizations that are proud to be part of the Brampton community,” said Nicole MacPhail, marketing manager for Bramalea City Centre. “This partnership is a great opportunity to connect local families through hockey, entertainment and shared experiences.”
After hitting the mall, fans will be able to take a free shuttle service between Bramalea City Centre and CAA Centre to watch the Steelheads faceoff against the Oshawa Generals.
“There are some great things coming for Steelheads fans through this partnership, and we’re excited to see it all come together,” said Gabriel Minichiello, senior Manager of corporate partnerships and business development for the Brampton Steelheads Hockey Club.
The shuttle will leave Bramalea City Centre at 6:15 p.m. and will head back to the mall at 9:15 p.m. Fans looking to attend the game and register for the shuttle can visit www,ticketmaster.com.
The Steelheads moved to Brampton from Mississauga for the 2024/2025 Ontario Hockey League season and finished with a 36-22-10 record.
