Noel Surrey set to shine again on the Cloverdale Fairgrounds

Noel Surrey will shine once again on the Cloverdale Fairgrounds this Christmas season.

Organizers for the third annual holiday celebration, billed this year as “Noel Surrey with the Magic of Bright Nights,” have announced the light fest will open Nov. 27 and run until Dec. 29. Presale tickets, offered at a 20 per cent discount, open Sept. 22.

Bright Nights—the largest annual fundraiser for the B.C. Professional Firefighters Burn Fund—will once again be incorporated into Noel Surrey. A portion of every ticket purchased will go to support the Burn Fund. (Before last year, Bright Nights ran for nearly three decades in Stanley Park.)

“The magic of Bright Nights joins Noel Surrey for the ultimate Christmas celebration,” notes an entry on the Noel Surrey website. “Explore the Lower Mainland’s largest indoor-outdoor holiday festival, featuring incredible light displays, family fun, rides, meet and greets with holiday characters, music, and more—all included with your ticket.”

Last year, more than 60,000 people attended Noel Surrey.

Organizers say the festival will be bigger than last year as they are expanding their indoor, heated space. They’re also offering ticket rescheduling and transfers.

“Don’t worry about buying your ticket too early,” notes info from Noel Surrey. “Our new ticketing provider will allow you to transfer your ticket to someone else or exchange for another date or time slot. Ticket exchanges to another event date or time slot are unlimited, but must be completed at least 8 hours before your current booking.”

Also new this year is the Snow Barn. Set in a new 9,000 sq-ft heated indoor space, festival-goers can get Santa photos, visit a holiday bar, wander through an expanded Christmas Market (featuring more than 20 local vendors), and put their feet up in a new lounge area with additional washrooms.

“Stay warm, shop local, and meet Santa, all in one place.”

Noel Surrey will have more than 1 million lights on display. The Cloverdale Agriplex will again be transformed into Noel Village. There’ll be a Bavarian Plaza, Jack Frost’s Bar, Noel Village Bar, Winter Spice Kitchen, and—along with food trucks—a dining hub and fire pits.

Along with free parking, tickets include: admission to the grounds, Bright Nights, photos will Santa, photos with Green and Grumpy One, meet and greets and singalongs with the Snow Sisters, unlimited Ferris wheel rides, unlimited rides on the Candy Cane Slide (ages 6-12), illuminated playground with LED seesaws and swings, live music and dance performances, face painting, balloon twisting, crafts, and Rudolph’s Ranch Ride-On-Reindeers (ages 2-6).

Organizers noted the public can check out their website where a new map for Noel Surrey 2026 will be released soon.

Noel Surrey will be open from 3 – 9:30 p.m. each day. The festival runs from Nov. 27 to Dec. 29, but will be closed for five days over that period: Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 8, 24, and 25.

Organizers say ticket prices will be revealed at 10 a.m. on Sept. 22 when early bird prices go into effect. Tickets can be purchased at noelfestival.com. Those discount tickets will be offered at 20 per cent off and will be available for 36 hours only, closing Sept. 23 at 10 p.m.

The Cloverdale Fairgrounds are located at 17905 62nd Avenue in Surrey.
