One person is dead and police are asking witnesses to come forward following a serious crash between a dump truck and a passenger vehicle north of Brampton.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 6 a.m. on Friday when a dump truck and a sedan collided in the intersection of King Street at Dixie Road in Caledon, the OPP says.
Police say the 61-year-old driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the dump truck was uninjured in the crash. The name of the victim has not been disclosed.

Officers closed the intersection of King Street at Dixie Road for hours while the OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team were on the scene, but the roadways have since reopened.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
