Truth and Life Worship Center is hosting a yard sale fundraiser today, Saturday, September 19 to raise money for the church’s ministries.
There are a variety of items for sale including household items, clothing, and furniture.
“The fundraiser is to raise funds for our Seniors’ ministry,” says Pastor Sylvonne Layne of TLWC. “We support the seniors in our church, and also to help our women’s discipleship ministry.”
Members of the church shared the decision behind supporting the event.
“I just wanted to do my part in supporting the seniors’ raise money. My Dad is a senior and I just want to do my part and help,” says Paula Collander, Vendor of Paula’s Cookies at the Yard Sale.

Truth and Life Worship Centre opens its doors to all members of the community, regardless of racial backgrounds.
“Truth and Life Worship Centre is a community church. Our vision is to make Christ known to everyone,” says Pastor Calvert Layne, Lead Pastor of TLWC.
Pastor Layne (C) continues about the importance of fellowship in the congregation. “We believe that when people work together and fellowship together, it makes for better communities.”
Church staff continue to testify about how the church feels familial.
“It’s a warm, friendly environment and you’ll find family here, you’ll find home, and you’ll find a great place to worship,” says Christine Forbes, TLWC Administrative Assistant.
At the heart of the church, Jesus remains preeminent. “I’d like you to know that Jesus changes lives. We’d be very happy to lead you to Him and teach you how His name and mission affects your life,” proclaims Pastor Layne (C).
The sale started at 10 a.m. and will go until 5 p.m. “We would love to see you, love to meet you, and of course if you could help us out with fundraiser,” says Pastor Layne (S).
