Lego is expanding, with stores opening soon in Mississauga and Toronto.

The company just opened a new location at CF Markville in Markham on Sept. 11, according to CF Markville.

The approximately 2,690 square feet Lego Store is the first for the community, according to reports.

And two more stores are scheduled to open at CF Toronto Eaton Centre and Square One Shopping Centre this fall.

The Eaton Centre location, approximately 2,637 square feet is scheduled to open on Oct. 23, and the Square One store, approximately 2,970 square feet, will open on Nov. 6, a Lego spokesperson told INsauga.com.

Signage went up on the storefronts a few months ago. The Eaton Centre store will be on Level 3, near the Queen Street entrance and next to Athleta.

The Square One store will be at the south end of the mall on Level 2, near the Columbia store.

The three new locations represent the LEGO Group’s largest Canadian retail expansion in more than five years and will increase the Canadian LEGO Store network from 12 to 15 locations, the spokesperson added.

There are currently stores in CF Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke, Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga, CR Fairview Mall and Yorkdale Shopping Centre. There is also a LegoLand Discovery Centre in Vaughan.

The shops offer Lego sets, figures, blocks, Technic and Mindstorm. Lego theme sets are sold for movies, television shows, video games and book franchises.

“Step into a world of creativity at the LEGO Store,” Square One Shopping Centre says on its website. “Explore exclusive sets, build your own minifigs, and enjoy hands-on fun. There’s something for every fan to discover and build!”
