Formula 1 cars to join Hot Wheels Infinite Rush game from March 2027

Formula 1 cars to join Hot Wheels Infinite Rush from March 2027 all 22 cars from the 2026 grid will become playable in the video game. The cars will be introduced through a new F1 Car Collection Pack, allowing players to race cars representing every Formula 1 team across the game’s toy-scale circuits.

Developed with racing game studio Milestone and Mattel, the Formula 1 cars have been recreated from their Hot Wheels die-cast counterparts and will compete in the Speeder category, the fastest class available in the game.

They will join a roster of more than 150 vehicles already available in Hot Wheels Infinite Rush. Formula 1 Chief Commercial Officer Emily Prazer said: “Our partnership with Mattel and Hot Wheels keeps evolving for our fans.

“This latest move gives them the opportunity to race their favourite driver’s car in the Hot Wheels Infinite Rush video game. They can play against friends and family, immersing themselves in the world of F1 and enjoying the speed, competition, and drama of the sport in a whole new format

“We know it’s going to be hugely popular given the reaction to the previous F1 Hot Wheels die-cast cars, and we can’t wait to see fans get behind the wheel when the F1 Car Collection Pack launches in March 2027,” Prazer said.

Bringing the full 2026 F1 grid to Hot Wheels

Formula 1 and Mattel began their partnership in 2024, producing a range of Hot Wheels models and fan experiences. The collaboration won Best Licensed Toys or Games Range at the 2026 Licensing Awards.

Milestone Publishing Director Andrea Loiudice said bringing the complete grid into the game represented an important step for the developer: “We’re incredibly proud to be the first to bring Formula 1 Hot Wheels die-cast cars to a video game. Bringing the full 2026 F1 grid to Hot Wheels Infinite Rush with the F1 Car Collection Pack is an exciting milestone for us.”

Mattel Head of Licensed Games Erika Winterholler said the project combined Formula 1’s authenticity with Milestone’s racing game expertise. Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, ROG Xbox Ally platforms and PC through Steam, Microsoft Store and Epic Games Store.

The Formula 1 Car Collection Pack will be released as downloadable content in March 2027.
