A third version of KiSS is now on the air.
Once again, 104.9 FM has been rebranded.
The Rogers-owned radio station has switched formats again, although this time it’s a small tweak rather than a full format flip.
Up until last week, the station was Kiss Throwback. It’s now KiSS West Coast.
The change appears to be slight, with the same on-air staff and the KiSS brand remaining. The biggest advertised difference is the addition of newer music.
While KiSS Throwback played hits from decades past, mostly the ’90s and 2000s, KiSS West Coast adds in current hits as well.
“The Biggest Hits, The Best Throwbacks,” reads the new tagline for the station.
KiSS West Coast is also being broadcast at 92.5 FM in Abbotsford and 107.5 FM in Chilliwack.
The new branding has been rolled out just after the announcement the Vancouver Canucks games would be broadcast by the KiSS station.
KiSS Throwbacks only lasted about a year, after replacing SONiC in the summer of 2025. SONiC itself had replaced KiSS 104.9 FM in 2022.
The KiSS brand is used at stations across Canada including Toronto, Edmonton and Winnipeg. Shows like The Roz and Mocha Show and The Jeff Holland Show are aired across the network.
