The Made Bicycle Show returns this weekend to Zidell Yards in Portland, Oregon. Rob English and Josh Weinberg are reporting from the venue and today they are kicking off their coverage with a variety of builds on display, ranging from a boundary-pushing 32″ wheeled monster gravel bike to an elegant mid-reach road bike and even a steel full-suspension BMX.
Tyler Reiswig and his team at BTCHN’ consistently innovate and push the boundaries of frame and component fabrication from their workshop in Chico, California. Escape already covered one such feature-packed build at Unbound earlier this year, which combined short chainstays with chubby tires and a large chainring. For Made, BTCHN’ partnered with component brand Wren to build a gravel bike around a set of its 32″ carbon wheels.
A bike built specifically for Tyler, as a prototype to test various concepts and designs, fits the big wheels into a size medium frame while retaining a desirable geometry. It’s based around his personal favorite gravel bike, which he uses for everything from singletrack to gravel races and rolls on a 27.5 / 29″ wheel mullet wheel setup.
