It’s the final day of the 2026 Major League Baseball season, and there’s plenty at stake.
The Houston Astros and Texas Rangers enter the day tied atop the AL West with 80-81 records, so their games will decide who claims the division crown. The final NL Wild Card also remains unclaimed, as the Philadelphia Phillies are barely hanging onto a 1.0-game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Meanwhile, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Kyle Schwarber are still tied for the MLB lead with 46 home runs and Gabriel Moreno (.311 AVG) will try to keep a slim lead over Luis Arraez (.310 AVG) for the NL batting title. With Arraez too hurt to play on Sunday, an 0-fer will doom Moreno.
