So, last night I loaded the boat on Raoni Barcelos to defeat Raul Rosas Jr. in UFC Vegas 121‘s main event. And, after four rounds of incredible action (full recap here), I was feeling supremely confident that +810, three-leg parlay would cash. Then Barcelos just … turned off (thankfully, he seems like he will be just fine). My parlay cooked, just like that. Earlier in the night, I needed the judges to side with Norma Dumont to cash a nice +1238, four-leg combination, but the brilliant minds cageside sided with Ailin Perez. ABSURD! Finally, I reached on Brady Hiestand – who was coming off a super long layoff – to topple Rinya Nakamura as a tough +250 underdog. He pulled off the upset, and I only needed Mehemmedeli Osmanli to dismantle Ilimbek Akylbek Uulu in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 33 Finale, only for Uulu to go full-on Rodolfo Bellato after eating an illegal upkick. And another +705 long-odd UFC bet slip was cooked.

I’m not bitter, not at all! But, is there a more difficult – and mind-breaking – sport to bet on? (Ping Pong is not a real answer, either).
