Quebec camping gear company La Cordée announces shutdown after filing for creditor protection

After 73 years, Quebec outdoor gear company La Cordée will cease operations in the coming weeks, the company announced Wednesday.

Operating since 1953, the company has storefronts on St-Laurent Blvd. in Mile End as well as in St-Hubert and Quebec City.

“We’re saddened to announce that La Cordée will officially cease operations in the coming weeks,” the company announced on its website Wednesday.
