Former Globe and Mail columnist Rob Carrick will be answering reader questions after his first year of retirement.Fred Lum/The Globe and Mail

For almost three decades, Rob Carrick has been writing about everything you need to know about managing your money in Canada – investments, real estate, mortgages, taxes, retirement and much more.

In 2025, Carrick took the leap himself when he announced he was retiring from his role as personal finance columnist at The Globe and Mail. And in September, he shared his insights on the highs and lows of the first year of retirement, including how to stay busy, manage your finances and focus on your health.

On Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m., Carrick will be answering reader questions about what he’s learned in retirement and how retirees and other Canadians can more effectively save money.
