Thursday, Oct. 15 is the night for a Provincial Candidates Forum hosted by Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade, Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce and White Rock Business Improvement Association.

An event location will be announced later by the three organizations, ahead of the Oct. 24 B.C. election.

The forum welcomes members of the business community, residents and other community stakeholders, but only candidates from CentreBC, Conservative, Green, NDP and OneBC parties are invited Oct. 15, 5:30 p.m. start.

“This non-partisan candidates forum will bring together candidates from B.C.’s five parties seeking to represent our communities in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, across all 10 ridings (in Surrey/White Rock),” says a post on swrbot.com.

The forum aims to give candidates a chance to outline their priorities and respond to questions on issues affecting businesses, workers, families and communities in Surrey and White Rock. Questions for candidates can be emailed to aman@swrbot.com by Oct. 5 for consideration.

SWRBOT election candidate forums are streamed on the board of trade’s YouTube channel.
