Our hearts goes out to General Hospital alum Eva LaRue (ex-Natalia), who is grieving the loss of her dear brother Louie. The ABC soap vet took to her official Instagram to share the devastating news, which left many of her former castmates and daytime peers rallying around her with their condolences and love.
“I’ve been avoiding making this post, because somehow, putting it into words, makes it real,” LaRue stated then went on to share, “I’m not ready to accept that someone so full of life, with so much more life to live, is suddenly gone at only 40 years old. I cannot wrap my head around it. I’m shattered.” The actress talked about how her brother lit up a room and “changed the entire energy of it for the better” with a “magnetic smile, that infectious joy, that incredible ability to make everyone feel like family.” Her “fiercest protector and defender,” he was her “champion… through some of the darkest and scariest years” of her life.

“One of the things I admired most about my brother was that he wasn’t just a dreamer, He was a doer!” she continued while sharing beautiful pics of her brother. “Louie lived life unapologetically… He worked hard, loved hard and played harder! And he had more quotable funny, one liners than anyone’s favorite comedy movie.”
Expressing how lucky she was to be his sister, LaRue added, “I desperately wish I could have one more hug, one more laugh, one more moment — but I know you’re needed elsewhere — Heaven needs a new entertainment director and you’re the best in the business… I love you, Little Loo. Nothing will ever fill this huge hole in my heart. Rest in love, my beautiful brother, Until your smile is the first thing I see again.”
Finola Hughes (Anna) went to the comments to express, “I am really so sorry Eva, sending my love,” as Maurice Benard (Sonny) stated, “Damn, I’m crying.” Bold & Beautiful’s Don Diamont (Bill) added, “So terribly sorry, Eva. I know how special your relationship was. It was obvious whenever I was around you guys. Wishing you strength and resilience. R.I.P. Louie,” and we too send the actress and her family our deepest condolences.
