DRUMMONDVILLE — Outgoing Culture and Communications Minister Mathieu Lacombe has been expelled from the Coalition Avenir Québec and cabinet for attending the Parti Québécois victory party on Monday.
La Presse reported Friday that Lacombe, who is in favour of independence, turned up late Monday evening at l’Espace St-Denis in Montreal to party with the PQ. About 1,000 people were present.
Technically, the CAQ is still the government of Quebec because PQ premier-elect Paul St-Pierre Plamondon has not been sworn in and neither has the new cabinet.
