The Saskatchewan Roughriders didn’t have much to be thankful for on Monday afternoon.

In Week 19 of the CFL season, the Roughriders lost a fourth straight game as the Green and White fell 44-24 to the host Montreal Alouettes, who improved to a league-best 13-3 in a rematch of the 2025 Grey Cup.

With the loss, the Roughriders dropped to 8-8 in the West Division playoff race, which puts them in a three-way tie for third place with the Calgary Stampeders (8-9) and Winnipeg Blue Bombers (8-8). Two of the three teams will make the playoffs, with Calgary and Winnipeg both holding the tiebreaker over the Roughriders. But if there is a three-way tie, Calgary would be eliminated based on head-to-head standings between all three teams and Saskatchewan would head East in the crossover. With two weeks left in the season, Winnipeg and Saskatchewan both have two games remaining while Calgary has one.
