The organizers behind a pro-sovereignty café in Montreal are expanding the concept of serving Quebec independence along with coffee and croissants to cities across the province.
OUI Québec, the community group that launched Montreal’s Club Pays café, is organizing a tour to promote the creation of a network of coffee shops where patrons can discuss sovereignty, and where sales go to generate funds for the independence movement.
Information sessions have been scheduled starting next week in nine cities to date, stretching from Terrebonne to Rimouski. The provincial tour comes in response to requests from interested communities, said Camille Goyette-Gingras, president of OUI Québec.
