Tuesday’s violent incident comes nearly five months after a man was stabbed to death in an unrelated attack in the same area of the city.

Chay Wilson, 32, of Mississauga, was fatally stabbed during the lunch hour on May 19 in the vicinity of Hurontario and Dundas streets.

His murder sent Peel Regional Police on a Canada-wide manhunt for the killer. A man was eventually arrested in Toronto’s west end 10 days later and charged in the killing.
