Surrey Police have released photos of a possible suspect vehicle in an aggravated assault that left someone with life-altering injuries more than two years ago.

Investigators want to ID a Dodge Durango spotted near a park at 120 Street and 70 Avenue back on Sept. 8, 2024, around 12:38 a.m. That’s when Surrey RCMP officers located two men assaulted.

Both victims, aged 18 and 22 at the time, were transported to hospital, police say.

“While the younger victim was released from hospital after receiving treatment for minor injuries, the older male was placed on life-support and faced an uncertain medical outcome because of the severity of the brain and head trauma he suffered,” according to Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton, media relations with Surrey Police Service.

Although some information and evidence resulted from a police appeal in 2024, SPS detectives are again asking for assistance “to advance the investigation and to provide answers to the victim and his family.

“Police are hopeful that now, just after the second anniversary of the incident, people will provide information understanding the seriousness of the injuries that victim sustained.”

If you were in the area of 120 Street and 70 Avenue between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, and have not spoken to police, call the SPS at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-7368 (SP) or 2024-134124 (SU).
