Weather is playing havoc again, this time forcing organizers to reschedule Red Bull Hardline BC’s debut. With rain forecasted overnight on Friday and winds on Saturday, the originally scheduled race day for the first Hardline event in Canada was looking pretty shaky. So organizers are moving everything forward a day.

Seeding runs, originally scheduled for Friday, will now take place Thursday Oct. 15.

Finals racing, originally scheduled for Saturday, will now take place Friday Oct. 16.

With the Cypress Mountain venue overlooking Vancouver and exposed to the west coast, planning for the weather is always a little tricky. Especially in mid-October. Nice to see Red Bull adapting to make sure this highly-anticipated event goes off for Canadian fans and riders.

For fans planning on attending in person, all tickets sold for Saturday’s racing will be honoured on Friday.

“All tickets that have already been purchased (for both Friday and Saturday, Carpool and Shuttle) will be valid for entry for the Finals on Friday, October 16. There will be no tickets available for Practice & Seeding on Thursday, October 15, and tickets for the Finals are sold out.”

Here is Friday’s updated schedule:

Finals – Friday, October 16
Venue Opens: 8:30AM
Practice: 10:00AM – 11:30AM
Finals: 12:00PM – 3:00PM
Venue Closes: 5:30PM

And here’s how to watch if you’re not in Vancouver on Friday.
