The World Boxing Association (WBA) Women’s Lightweight (61.2kg) Asian title match will be held on Saturday, October 24, hosted by Buffalo Promotion and recognized by the Korea Boxing Association (KBA).

WBA Asian champion Shin Bo-mirre (32, Shin Gil-gwon-tu) will play the first defense match against challenger Mandif Cor (26, India). Mandif Corr is a gold medalist at the 3rd World Boxing Association Women’s Youth Championships in 2015. In the same year, she won the Asian Boxing Federation Women’s Junior Player of the Year Award.

As of October 15, 2026, Sinbomire is second in the lightweight division of the World Boxing Association, fourth in the super featherweight division of the World Boxing Council (WBC), and fourth in the junior lightweight division of the International Boxing Federation (IBF). The weight of super featherweight and junior lightweight is the same as 59 kg. Both men and women, Shinbomire is currently the best star among active professional fighters in Korea.

In an interview with MK Sports, the starting point of the Hague Round Seongsu in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, Shin Bo-mirre said, “I think the best weight class for me is the super featherweight (= junior lightweight). However, if I get a good chance, I’m also fully considering another attempt to become the top of the lightweight world,” he said.
Sinbomire was a women’s lightweight title challenger at the World Boxing Council in March 2025 and a women’s super featherweight/junior lightweight integration title challenger at the World Boxing Association International Boxing Federation (WBO) in April 2026. It is really great to aim for World No. 1 in different weight classes for two consecutive seasons, but it did not achieve my dream.
