The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired forward Aatu Raty from the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday in exchange for forwards Brandon Buhr and Jacob Quillan.
Raty cleared waivers earlier on Thursday after he was waived on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old had one goal in four games with the Canucks this season while averaging 10:10 of ice time.
In 66 games with the Canucks last season, Raty scored four goals with 10 assists.
A second-round pick (52nd overall) by the New York Islanders in 2021, Raty was dealt to Vancouver in January of 2023 along with forward Anthony Beauvillier and a conditional draft pick in exchange for Bo Horvat.
He helped the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks capture the Calder Cup in 2025.
In 118 career NHL games, Raty has scored 14 goals with 29 points, split between the Islanders and Canucks.
