‘Mr. Atlantic City’ Wins First Professional Boxing Championship

The local fighter, known as “Mr.Atlantic City” has won the NABF Super Welterweight title in San Antonio, Texas, last night.

”Mr. Atlantic City,” Justin Figueroa has been winning with regularity since turning professional. Last night, Figueroa won the first championship of his career.

Figueroa defeated Jerrod Tennant by unanimous decision last night to become a champion professional boxer.

Figueroa was a standout athlete at Holy Spirit High in Absecon, New Jersey.

Figueroa was a star football player for The Spartans. He was an all-out competitor, and, his aggressive style has transferred well to the rough and tumble world of professional boxing.

With last night’s title bout, Figueroa is a perfect 13-0 for his professional boxing career.

At last night’s title bout, Figueroa wore appropriate Ace playing card designed boxing trunks … with each quarter panel featuring the ace of spades, the ace of hearts, the ace of diamonds, and the ace of clubs.

Respected boxing promoter, Larry Goldberg (pictured above at Tropicana Atlantic City) has presented Figueroa on several of his Tropicana Atlantic City fight cards.

Figueroa is a great local draw.

Goldberg is also a local homeboy, from Margate, New Jersey.

Goldberg has done the near impossible in boxing, by breaking through the New York City boxing industry scene.

Johnson is pictured above with Figueroa.

She has served as Figueroa’s publicist. Like Goldberg, Johnson is bullish on Figueroa.
