Over the past two months, businesses in the Queen St. E. and Kennedy Rd. area of Brampton have been on edge following a series of overnight break-ins. Several commercial establishments, including restaurants and retail stores, reported significant damage as intruders smashed glass doors and windows to gain entry. Cash registers and safes were primary targets. Peel Police recently arrested Shane Jason Elliot, a 45-year-old Brampton resident, at the Brampton Go Station around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Elliot now faces 13 counts of break and enter, along with charges for committing an indictable offence and four counts of break and enter with intent. The investigation continues as Toronto Police seek three additional suspects believed to be involved in similar crimes.
