Less than two weeks after Bayside Lounge announced it was closing, a neighbour has made a similar declaration.
Hook Seabar is closing.
“After 10 amazing years, Hook Restaurant would like to publicly say goodbye,” reads a post from the restaurant on Instagram.
The last day for the closing restaurant is Oct. 30.
“It has been an honour to have served this beachside corner for all these years and become a part of an irreplaceable community,” continues the post.
“We will never forget you, so I hope you never forget us.”
Hook is known as an affordable, laid-back seafood spot offering a wide variety of ocean-inspired meals, from fish-and-chips to sous-vide octopus. It also has a raw bar, with caviar, ceviche, and tuna tartare.
It’s leaving 1210 Denman St, where it opened in 2017. Prior to that, the location was a milestones.
