Did you know your Brampton Library card can get you access to more than just books, including free hockey tickets?
From bird watching and telescope kits to seasonal activity kits and GoPro video cameras, Brampton Library branches have a “Library of Things” for cardholders to borrow, along with books, movies and games.
But the Brampton Library is also giving away a limited amount of tickets for an upcoming Brampton Steelheads game to card holders looking to take in some OHL action.
“Show us your Library card, or let us make one for you, to redeem vouchers for Friday’s game,” the Brampton Library says of the Steelheads’ upcoming Oct. 23 home game against the Brantford Bulldogs.
Tickets are first-come, first-served with no limit on the number of vouchers per library cardholder “while supplies last,” the library says.
To get a voucher, visit any Brampton Library branch and ask a staff member about Brampton Steelheads hockey tickets. Then bring your vouchers to the CAA box office on Friday between 6 and 7 p.m. to redeem for gold tickets donated by the team’s sponsors.
Brampton Library card holders can also get free passes to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto, and the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) in Brampton.
ROM Passes are available at all Brampton Library branches on a first-come, first-served basis, and are good for four guests during regular public hours not including blackout dates. Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservation for passes to PAMA can be made through the library’s online catalogue.
