Essential equipment stolen from Seabird Island farm

Several pieces of essential equipment have been stolen from an essential farm for the Seabird Island (Sq’éwqel) First Nations community.
Sq’éwqel authorities said the Land To Table Farm has recently experienced an increase in missing and stolen equipment. These tools are critical for growing, harvesting and processing food for the Seabird Island community, supporting families, youth and Elders. The Land to Table Farm provides fresh produce and food for a number of vital community initiatives.
Sq’éwqel asks for the community’s help in locating and returning a number of items, including tillers, a refrigeration unit and a trailer. If anyone has information about the missing equipment, they are asked to call 604-798-2936 or email land2table@seabirdisland.ca.
