After previously calling a Parti Québécois election victory a potential “disaster” for Canada, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said Tuesday he is now eager to work with Premier Paul St-Pierre Plamondon to grow the economies of Canada’s two largest provinces.
“I want to go and pay him a visit and talk about how Quebec and Ontario can grow the economies,” Ford said, noting he spoke to the Parti Québécois leader after his Oct. 5 election victory.
“Together, we’re well over 25 million people, geographically larger than probably half the United States. We have great opportunities to focus on the economy, with Ontario and with the people of Quebec.”
