HOMESTEAD, Fla. — The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Championship weekend will feature a hometown star before the green flag waves, as Miami native Jason Derulo has been announced as the pre-race concert performer for NASCAR’s season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Derulo, one of the music industry’s most recognizable global performers, will take the stage on Nov. 8 to help kick off festivities before the championship-deciding NASCAR Cup Series race.
The selection gives NASCAR fans a distinctly South Florida flavor for the sport’s biggest event of the season. Born and raised in Miami, Derulo has built a career that includes more than 250 million singles sold worldwide and billions of streams across multiple platforms, becoming one of the most successful pop artists of his generation.
“Having Miami’s own Jason Derulo take the stage at Homestead-Miami Speedway will be an electric start to the NASCAR Cup Series Championship race,” Homestead-Miami Speedway President Guillermo Santa Cruz said. “With his unmistakable sound and bold stage presence, Derulo is the perfect artist to ignite the crowd for an unforgettable championship race.”
Beyond music, Derulo has expanded his influence into publishing and social media, where he ranks among the world’s most-followed male artists. His latest musical era continues with The Last Dance (Part 2), scheduled for release Jan. 8, 2027, following the success of recent singles, including the viral collaboration “Mi Chico.”
The performance adds another marquee attraction to a championship weekend already loaded with racing action.
The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series will open the weekend on Friday, Nov. 6, before the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series crowns its champion on Saturday, Nov. 7. Sunday’s schedule culminates with Derulo’s concert ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series Championship race, where four drivers will battle for the sport’s most coveted title.
Homestead-Miami Speedway returns as NASCAR’s championship host and is expected to welcome thousands of fans for a weekend combining championship drama with live entertainment.
For NASCAR, the addition of Derulo continues a growing tradition of incorporating major musical acts into championship celebrations, helping transform the season finale into a festival-style event that extends beyond the track.
