There’s a new rental housing development with over 80 “family-sized” units coming to Brampton that aims to be move-in ready by December.

The new purpose-built, 84-unit townhouse project is the third phase of the MPV Parkfield Towns project in Brampton’s Mount Pleasant Village neighbourhood, and will feature rental units “designed to accommodate a variety of housing needs,” developers The Daniels Corporation say.

The townhomes will feature three or four bedroom layouts with finished basements, private yards, an attached garage and private driveway, developers say. There are five home designs available, ranging from 2,138 to 2,667 square feet.

Lawn maintenance and most snow removal services are included with the rental.

The Daniels Corporation says the population within a one-kilometre radius of MPV Parkfield Towns is expected to grow 41 per cent by 2035 – more than doubling the projected growth within the community – and that the Mount Pleasant Village area needs “more family-sized housing options in this rapidly growing neighbourhood.”

The 84 rental townhomes also incorporate all-electric systems, high-efficiency Energy Star appliances, low-flow fixtures and solar-ready infrastructure, as well rough-ins for future EV charging equipment, subject to landlord approval. Some units are also available through Daniels’ Accessibility Designed Program, and feature featuring elevator-ready layouts and accessibility elements that support changing mobility needs, multi-generational living and aging residents.

“With MPV Parkfield Towns, we saw an opportunity to introduce a different kind of rental experience, one that offers families the space, privacy and independence of traditional townhome living, while providing the flexibility, convenience and professional management of renting in an established, connected community,” Jake Cohen, president of The Daniels Corporation said in a release.

Daniels is offering leasing incentives to celebrate MPV Parkfield Towns’ grand opening, including one month of free rent. The first townhomes are
anticipated to be move-in ready in December.
