The mother, who does not have custody of the children, has not been seen since fleeing with the kids on Friday morning, say police
Toronto police on Saturday afternoon provided an update about an ongoing child abduction investigation.
Police said three children — 6-year-old Daniel, 3-year-old Irina and 4-month-old Anastasia — were abducted by their mother, 22-year-old Somerda Miclescu.
Miclescu does not have custody of the children and allegedly abducted them during a pre-arranged semi-supervised visit at a family member’s home on Friday around 11:30 a.m.
Insp. Jeff Allington said the children were abducted in the Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East area.

Miclescu’s whereabouts are currently unknown, though Allington said police do not believe she is attempting to leave the province or country.
She is wanted for one count of abduction by a parent.
She is described as 5-foot-7, approximately 180 pounds, with long dark black hair. She was last seen wearing a long black skirt and a dark-coloured top.
Miclescu is believed to be driving a white 2017 Ford Expedition with Ontario licence plate DJJS 875.

Allington said the vehicle belongs to a person of interest named Ionut Stroe, 25, of Toronto. He is also wanted for four counts of failing to comply with a release order — charges that stem from unrelated matters.
Stroe is described as approximately 5-foot-11, 235 pounds and has a tattoo on his right forearm.
