The 2026 WNBA Finals are getting crazier.

The Golden State Valkyries looked just about finished after a 26-point loss to the Atlanta Dream in Game 3 on Wednesday. But on Saturday, the Valkyries exacted revenge on the Dream to even up the series at two games apiece.

More importantly, Golden State’s 67-62 win restores the home court advantage to the Valkyries — who have lost just one game in two months at their imposing Chase Center home.

That means a potential Game 7 — a first in Finals history — would be held in Ballhalla.

While the Valkyries rediscovered their identity in Game 4, the Dream — so convincing in Games 2 and 3 — seemed to lose theirs.

Golden State smothered Atlanta, forcing 17 Dream turnovers and holding their high-powered offense to 33.3 percent shooting. In addition, Atlanta only scored two points in transition, which showcased the Valkyries’ mastery of the possession game and thus the tempo of Game 4.

Dream superstar Angel Reese felt the change. She had her worst game of the Finals, scoring eight points on 2-of-12 shooting after she dominated the second and third games. As the epitome of the Dream’s swagger-laden identity, she understands how important it is to turn the page quickly on Game 4.

“As long as we stay together and get back to our identity, we’ll be fine,” Reese told reporters after Game 4.

However, Reese pointed to one element from the box score that ultimately lost Atlanta a close game: the free throws. The Dream shot 22-of-31 from the line; the Valkyries went 11-for-13.

“If we make all our free throws, we win the game,” she said. “Just small things like that, turnovers as well.”

Game 5 will not be straightforward at Ballhalla. But the Dream has to get back to winning on the margins against a Valkyries team that has demonstrated an incredible understanding of how to control them.
