Montreal police are investigating an officer over alleged misconduct and obstruction of justice involving a domestic violence case, while another officer has been suspended over allegations of racist behaviour.
The SPVM announced the developments Thursday, saying both cases are connected to its wider investigation into allegations of racism and discrimination involving officers at Station 39 in Montreal North.
The first case concerns a domestic violence incident in 2025. Police said the allegations were reported internally during the Station 39 investigation and they are continuing a criminal investigation after consulting Quebec prosecutors.
