Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE come preloaded with One UI 8, and those who pre-ordered can expect the Android 16-based firmware to roll out as early as next week.

Meanwhile, the One UI 8 beta program is underway but currently limited to the Galaxy S25 trio. Curiously, the Galaxy S25 Edge is still on the sidelines. So far, Samsung has pushed out three beta updates, and a fourth looks like it’s right around the corner.

One UI 8 beta 4 is coming sooner than you think

Updates tracker Tarun Vats has speculated on the possible release schedule for One UI 8 Beta 4. According to him, the fourth beta could arrive as soon as Monday (07/21), which is great news for those who have been waiting. This suggests that we are getting closer to the stable release, which should begin with the Galaxy S25 series.

It is still unclear whether the upcoming One UI 8 Beta 4 will support more devices. The beta program has already been running for almost two months. So far, we have tested leaked One UI 8 builds for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, Flip 6, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, the beta is not officially available for any of these models. Whether that will change on Monday remains to be seen.

At the same time, Samsung is ramping up internal testing of One UI 8 for a range of devices, including smartphones and tablets. Although the official release schedule is still under wraps, it is likely that Samsung will begin rolling out the stable version in early August. As mentioned, the Galaxy S25 series will be the first to receive it, followed by other models.

If you do not want to wait for the stable release of One UI 8, getting one of the new foldables is currently the fastest way to experience it. There are some cool pre-order perks, too.
