Winnipeg police say a 65-year-old woman was taken to hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in the city’s Westwood neighbourhood on Monday afternoon.
The Winnipeg Police Service says the woman was hit on Portage Avenue near Westwood Drive around 1:30 p.m. They say she was crossing eastbound traffic.
Authorities did not have an update on her status by Tuesday morning.
Police say the driver remained on scene and met with officers.
The investigation is ongoing.
