Wednesday’s Injury Report

The Seahawks opened their practice week with a walkthrough having played on Monday night, making their injury report an estimation, but six players were listed as non-participants, including quarterback Sam Darnold, who head coach Mike Macdonald said will not play in Sunday’s game against Arizona due to quadricep and rib injuries.

Also listed as non-participants were left tackle Charles Cross (ankle), defensive tackle Leonard Williams (stinger) and receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee), all of whom missed Monday’s game. Also not practicing were outside linebacker Connor O’Toole (foot) and nose tackle Brandon Pili (back).

When Macdonald was asked about Williams on Wednesday, Macdonald said he, as well as Cross and Shaheed, “all have a chance to play. We haven’t ruled anybody out yet.”

Among those listed as limited was quarterback Drew Lock, who is expected to start in Darnold’s place. Lock has been dealing with an elbow injury that also had him limited the last two weeks and led to him serving as the emergency third quarterback behind Darnold and Jalen Milroe the past two games, as opposed to his usual role as the No. 2 quarterback. Also limited were guard Anthony Bradford (knee), running back Velus Jones Jr. (hamstring), guard Quenton Nelson (knee) and outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (ankle).

For the Cardinals, guard Jon Gaines (ankle), running Bam Knight (concussion) and tackle Jayden Williams (knee) were non participants due to injury, while defensive tackle Walter Nolen (ankle) and guard Isaiah Adams (ankle) were limited.
