Pixel Care+ is Google’s new flagship device protection program for customers who buy Pixel phones and other devices in the U.S. It’s a replacement for Google Preferred Care and Fi Device Protection.
“Today we’re launching Pixel Care+, our new flagship device protection program for Made by Google products,” Google vice president Mauria Finley writes. “Pixel Care+ will provide a higher level of coverage, service, and peace of mind for Google hardware owners.”

Available today, Pixel Care+ is offered in partnership with Asurion. It provides unlimited claims for accidental damage, extended warranty claims, and mechanical damage; $0 screen and battery repairs, $0 post-warranty malfunction claims, genuine Google parts and replacements, priority support from Pixel Experts, self-service claims through the Google Store website, and optional added loss and theft coverage.
Pixel Care+ is available on Google hardware purchased from the Google Store and Google Fi. The fees vary per device type, and there are monthly and two-year plans. As an example, Pixel Care+ for a Pixel 10 costs $9 per month or $179 for two years, or $10 per month or $199 for two years with loss and theft protection; the service fee for non-covered accidental damage is $59.00 and the deductible for Loss and Theft is $79.00.
Eligible devices include all Pixel 10, 9, and 8 series phones, including the Folds, Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4, Pixel Tablet (with or without charging dock), and Fitbit Ace LTE, Sense 2, Versa 4, Charge 6, and Inspire 3.
Those on Google Preferred Care or Fi Device Protection in the U.S. will be migrated to the new program in the coming months, Google says.
