In tonight’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Armaan is seen pouring his heart out before Goddess Durga. Distressed, he questions why Abhira is being put through such unbearable trials. He recalls how a cheerful mother, once full of smiles, is now suffering behind bars, longing for her daughter, while God appears to remain silent. Armaan challenges the divine, asking for a sign of his presence. With firm resolve, he says that every prayer and effort of his is tied to just one wish that Abhira should walk free and reunite with her child. He promises to secure justice for her and pleads with the Goddess to stand by him, proving that faith truly exists within the idol he prays to.
Meanwhile, Geetanjali searches for Maira. Manisha reassures her, saying that Maira is with Abhir and there is no need to worry since her family is around to look after her. She gently suggests that Geetanjali focus on something else to keep her mind occupied.
Maira’s Growing Suspicion
On the other hand, Maira curiously asks Abhir about Abhira’s whereabouts. Abhir lies, saying that Abhira has gone to Delhi. However, Maira recalls Armaan earlier mentioning that Abhira was in Shimla. This inconsistency leaves her suspicious. Though Abhir continues to cover up, Maira begins sensing that both Armaan and Abhir are deliberately hiding the truth from her.
Elsewhere, Kiara turns to Saharsh for assistance. Saharsh tells her that arranging money is the only way out. Abhir overhears this exchange and becomes alert. Soon after, Kiara shocks him by demanding ?50,000 directly from him, leaving Abhir both stunned and doubtful about her true motives.
Armaan Confronted Over His Marriage
Back at home, Geetanjali and Krish learn that Armaan has taken up Abhira’s case. When Kajal insists she eat something, Geetanjali refuses, choosing instead to wait for Armaan’s return. Kaveri and Vidya also decline food, and Tanya too joins them, saying she has no appetite.
Later, when Armaan comes back, Geetanjali urges him to have dinner. Vidya, however, asks about Abhira’s condition. Armaan responds that Abhira is going through immense pain. Kaveri then directs Armaan to sit with Geetanjali, but Vidya interrupts, arguing that Armaan is not a child and should not be compelled to maintain ties if his heart isn’t in it. Kaveri strongly disagrees, pointing out that Armaan rushed into marriage with Geetanjali without thinking of Abhira and now must live with that decision. She warns him that he cannot be pardoned for his repeated mistakes.
Inwardly, Armaan admits that his marriage to Geetanjali was only for Maira and Abhira’s sake. Yet, he decides to continue with the relationship. At the dining table, Geetanjali notices Armaan eating only dal and roti and questions him. Armaan replies that this is the same meal served in jail, and he has adopted it as a reminder of what Abhira is enduring.
Abhira’s Guilt and Abhir’s Support
Meanwhile, Maira dreams about Abhira and Armaan, missing her mother deeply. To ease her pain, Armaan sends her a message pretending it is from Abhira. But his decision to conceal the truth only fuels Maira’s growing doubts, making her more certain that he is keeping something hidden.
At the same time, inside the prison, Abhir urges Abhira to eat, reminding her that she needs to stay strong for Maira’s sake. Overcome with guilt, Abhira fears how Maira will react once she learns that her mother has been accused of murder. Abhir tries to console her, assuring her that she should not lose hope.
