In tonight’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan holds both Kaveri and Vidya’s hands and gently asks them to set aside their argument from yesterday. He explains that he needs their help because Abhira has wished for Maira to remain happy and occupied during her absence, so that the little girl doesn’t miss her or keep asking questions. Armaan pleads with them, saying it’s just a matter of two days, and requests their support.
Kaveri immediately asks why he mentioned two days specifically. Armaan reassures her that within this time, he will bring Abhira back, and then directly asks if they are willing to stand by him. Both Kaveri and Vidya eventually agree.
Maira’s Curiosity
Just then, Maira notices the three of them standing unusually close and talking quietly. Curious, she asks why they are whispering. Thinking quickly, Kaveri covers up by joking that Vidya has a hearing problem. This sparks yet another light quarrel between the two women, but before Maira can suspect anything, Armaan cleverly distracts her by offering to help arrange her books. Kaveri, not one to step back, insists she is the expert at such tasks. Finally, Armaan, Kaveri, and Vidya decide to work together with one goal in mind to keep Maira happy.
Meanwhile, Geetanjali spots Maira and feels delighted, deciding to go meet her. But before she can, Manisha steps in, worried that Geetanjali might unknowingly reveal the truth about Abhira’s absence. Geetanjali insists that she should also be allowed to help Maira and the others cover the books. However, Manisha quickly reminds her that now, as Armaan’s wife, it is also her responsibility to manage the household duties. She firmly suggests that if Geetanjali really wants to help, she should assist her there instead.
Kiara’s Struggles

On the other side, Kiara struggles with severe withdrawal symptoms. Desperate, she contacts her dealer for a smaller supply of drugs, but he bluntly tells her to look elsewhere if she cannot trust him. Panicked, Kiara begs him not to disconnect, promising to arrange the money soon. Her health worsens as the withdrawal intensifies.
Manisha’s Doubts about Armaan’s Marriage
Back at home, Maira insists on speaking with Abhira. When Armaan checks, he realises that Abhira’s phone is with Manisha. Just then, Geetanjali answers the call, but Manisha immediately takes the phone away to stop the truth from being revealed. Geetanjali asks Manisha why she cut the call, and Manisha says, ‘Main is phone ko katu, pisku-mixie me daalke ghuma du ya phod du, tumhe kya? Ye tumhara phone nahi hai.
When Geetanjali argues that the phone doesn’t belong to Manisha either and is actually Abhira’s, Manisha points out that picking it up will only confuse Maira further. She firmly tells Geetanjali to let Maira stay focused on her first day of school instead of dragging her into unnecessary matters.
Later, Manisha confronts Geetanjali directly with her growing doubts about Armaan’s marriage, wondering if he had been pressured into it. Geetanjali, taken aback, chooses to remain silent. Her lack of response only deepens Manisha’s suspicion that Armaan was indeed forced into the relationship.
Maira’s Innocent Questions

Later, Maira excitedly enters Armaan and Abhira’s room. Filled with innocent curiosity, she asks Armaan why he and Abhira cannot be together again, now that “friend uncle” has passed away and their misunderstanding is resolved. Just as Armaan is about to answer, he is interrupted by a phone call. He tells Maira it’s an important call, but she insists on knowing about his and Abhira’s relationship. Armaan explains that not every relationship needs to end in marriage sometimes friendship is best for certain people. He reassures her that their friendship is strong and lasting, and that the three of them will always remain close. Maira nods in agreement and walks away, while Armaan takes the inspector’s call.
Soon after, Maira remembers she needs an outfit for her first day of school. Armaan hands her a costume that Abhira had already arranged a lawyer’s dress. Overjoyed, Maira recalls Abhira lovingly and insists on talking to her. Armaan dodges her request with another excuse. Missing Abhira deeply, Maira asks Armaan to sleep beside her. He gently declines, saying he has urgent work, but tells her she can come to the study if she feels restless.

The next morning, Armaan is eager to get Maira ready for school. Just then, Geetanjali arrives and tells him not to send the child. Armaan stands firm, reminding her that he and Abhira had already made this decision together. Geetanjali admits she cannot intervene in Maira’s matters, but adds that when it comes to choosing a husband, she still has the final say.
Dressed as a lawyer for her school’s profession day, Maira once again insists on speaking with Abhira. Armaan manages to avoid the situation with another excuse. Watching the little girl, Geetanjali feels that Maira truly needs a mother figure and decides to accompany her to school. At the same time, Abhira waits outside with Abhir, eager to witness Maira’s special first day.
