A nightmare first half for Huddersfield goalkeeper Owen Goodman put Barnsley on their way to victory at Oakwell.

The home side opened the scoring on nine minutes after Goodman fumbled Nathanael Ogbeta’s cross straight into the path of Davis Keillor-Dunn, who made no mistake to give his side the lead.

Goodman’s day went from bad to worse in the 36th minute as he was shown a straight red card for a high boot on David McGoldrick.

Barnsley made the man advantage count in the 44th minute after Luca Connell’s deflected effort doubled their lead.

Keillor-Dunn scored his second and Barnsley’s third in the 85th minute, tapping in from close range in front of the Reds faithful.

Joe Taylor pulled one back for Huddersfield in the 87th minute but it was too little too late for the Terriers.

Barnsley leapfrogged the visitors in the league table following the result.
