Daniel Dubois is plotting his return to the ring following his most recent loss.

‘DDD’ is a former IBF world champion who had put together one of the best runs in the division. From December 2023 to September 2024, he knocked out Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua, all in impressive fashion to win and retain his first world title.

Last time out in July, the Brit took on Oleksandr Usyk for a second time, having lost to him previously back in August 2023.

The second fight saw Dubois stopped inside five rounds and left many questioning his heart once more as he appeared to have his senses as soon as the count finished.

After a change in his coaching team, Dubois will now be looking to get back to winning ways when he returns to the ring, and a fellow Brit has now called him out following plenty of sparring.

David Adeleye is the man in question, as he told talkSPORT Boxing he would be keen on what he says would be an all-action fight.

“Yeah, yeah I’d love that fight. That’s a good fight. Me and Dubois used to spar each other in the gym a lot. The fans would be in for a real treat there. If you want to see a real shoot out, get me and Dubois in the ring.”

Adeleye was recently in action against Hrgovic, and although he cut the 2016 Olympic bronze medallist in round two, the Brit lost a unanimous decision but put on a fine showing. His record is now 16 fights with 14 wins, and Fabio Wardley is the only other man to have beaten him.

A fight against Dubois would give Adeleye another chance to showcase his skills, but the former IBF heavyweight champion may have his sights set on a bigger name for his return.
