Darren Till and Carl Froch nearly clashed on Saturday following the Misfits 22 main event, potentially setting up for a shock return.
On Saturday, Misfits 22 took place from the AO Arena in Manchester, and was headlined by a main event between former UFC middleweights Darren Till and Luke Rockhold.
Ahead of the event, the two fighters almost clashed at the official weigh-ins as several security guards attempted to hold Till back as he attempted to attack Rockhold.
And heading into their fight, ‘The Gorilla’ kept the same energy and eventually scored a terrifying KO over Rockhold in the third round, rendering him completely unconscious.

Immediately after his extremely impressive win, the former UFC middleweight title challenger called out several influencer boxers but also called out former boxing world champion Carl Froch.
Till stormed out of the ring and attempted to come face-to-face with Froch, who sat on the front row and watched the night of action.
Fortunately, security once again stepped in and stopped Till from getting close to Froch, who didn’t provide any sort of reaction to Till’s actions.
Despite that, just a few hours removed from the event, the Hall of Fame boxer has now provided his full reaction to Till’s callout.
“I was quite pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, by the whole production,” Froch admitted on his YouTube channel despite having previously being extremely critical of influencer boxing.
“I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of boxing… Darren Till ironed his opponent out, it was quite a bad knockout as well, the fight could’ve been stopped earlier and then Darren Till literally went off on one.
“I knew it was coming, I knew something would’ve been coming… Can this fight with Darren Till happen, can it make any sense?
“Do I want it to happen? Realistically, probably not, I retired 11 years ago and when I retired, I was offered a lot of money to fight Chavez Jr, I was offered a lot of money to fight Gennady Golovkin, the desire was gone and when the desire is gone you’re not gonna jump in the boxing ring.
“Why would I fight now, why would I bother? Well, easy money. I was thinking to myself, they’re giving money away here with these fights because Darren Till is absolutely f—— useless, it’d be a mismatch, but is there money and cash in it?” Froch continued.
Froch admits he’ll return to training to decide whether he wants boxing comeback
Although the 48-year-old has always been extremely critical of the influencer boxing world, following Till’s callout, Froch has claimed he is now keen on returning to training.
The former world champion didn’t write off a return and stated that he will participate in a few sparring sessions to see whether he still has the desire to fight.
