The legendary Roy Jones Jr believes there is just one active world champion that is actually unbeatable.

Jones himself is widely considered to be one of the greatest fighters to have ever graced the sport, proving his outstanding credentials throughout the course of his professional career which began back in 1989.

He became a world champion in four weight classes along the way, racking up victories over the likes of James Toney, Bernard Hopkins and Mike McCallum during the peak of his tenure which came during the mid 1990s.

Perhaps the most memorable victory of his tenure came in March of 2003 when he made the move up to heavyweight to defeat fellow countryman John Ruiz via unanimous decision to capture the WBA world heavyweight title.

Speaking to The Ring Magazine, Jones spoke fondly of undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, as he admits he doesn’t see ‘anyone’ defeating Ukrainian superstar before the end of his accomplished career, but says Joseph Parker stands the best chance.

“I don’t see anyone beating him at this point.

But the most likely suspect is Joseph Parker. It’s the only fight that is a little bit of a challenge because Parker has boxing skills, hand speed, he knows how to maneuver like a small man, and has trainer Andy Lee, who knows what he is doing as well.”

Usyk wrote his name into the boxing history books once again last month when he defeated Britain’s Daniel Dubois for the second time to become the first fighter in boxing history to win the undisputed heavyweight champion on two occasions within the ‘four belt era’.

The 38-year-old Ukrainian is expected to continue with his boxing career with rumours circulating about a potential showdown with either Parker or Moses Itauma taking place next.
