Elvis Presley would have undoubtedly been a proud grandfather and great grandfather if he was still alive today.
On Friday, Aug. 29, paparazzi caught Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough, 36, walking with her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, at the Venice airport. In photos published by the Daily Mail, Keough and Smith-Petersen had their 3-year-old daughter, Tupelo, in tow as well as another child — a baby who was being carried by Keough.
Keough and her husband did not announce they were expecting another baby, nor have they confirmed any sort of baby news, but it does appear they’ve welcomed another child into their family.
Parade has reached out to a rep for Keough for comment.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Keough welcomed a child in private, either. In January 2023, at the funeral for Keough’s mom, Lisa Marie Presley, Smith-Petersen revealed that he and the actress had welcomed a baby girl during his speech, which he read on behalf of his wife.
“I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters,” he read, via People. Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I’m a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart.”
Given the media attention surrounding Presley and his family, Keough’s desire for privacy seems justified.
The king of rock and roll only had one daughter — Lisa Marie (her mom is Priscilla Presley) — but years after he tragically died in 1977, his family grew. Lisa Marie had four children: Keough and her brother, Benjamin, who died by suicide in July 2020, as well as Finley and Harper Lockwood.
Keough married Smith-Petersen in 2015.
