Preview: Sprinters take centre stage at Simac Ladies Tour

The final European stage race of the 2025 Women’s WorldTour is for the fast-finishers this year (well, except stage 5).

The summer stage race season is geared towards climber types, as we saw at everything from the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift to the Tour de Romandie, but now, for the final WorldTour stage race on European soil, it’s the sprinters’ time to shine, especially with this edition’s courses. Sure, the first two stages are “hilly”, especially for the Netherlands and Belgium, but the Simac Ladies Tour is one loved by sprinters and power-riders alike.

The previous two editions were won by Lotte Kopecky, who took the overall last year from Franziska Koch by winning the final stage of the race. The world champ won by only two seconds over the German rider, with Zoe Backstedt coming in second, seven seconds down.

Before Kopecky started her winning streak, Lorena Wiebes won the Simac Ladies Tour overall. In 2022, she won the first two stages, which was enough to secure the overall title.

As this is the last WorldTour race in Europe, the Simac Ladies Tour will also be the final race for a few riders retiring at the end of the season, including Sarah Roy and (possibly) Ellen van Dijk.

How to watch

The race will be broadcast live on TNT Sports in the UK, Eurosport or HBO Max in the US and most of Europe, and FloBikes in Canada.

The timing of coverage varies each stage: stage 1 is at 13:30 CET, stages 2 and 3 at 14:30, stage 4 at 13:30, the stage 5 ITT is at 13:00, and stage 6 is at 14:30.
