In the early morning hours of Tuesday August 26, 2025, Manuela (Mandy) Schell was given her wings, passing from this life to join her baby boy in heaven.
Beloved wife of Bob Schell for 48 years they shared a true soul connection that everyone could see. They absolutely adored each other and were a beautiful example of two people who were truly meant to be. Devoted and cherished mother of the late Timothy Schell (Rochelle) and Krystle Plastino (Michael). Loving Nona who always had a special place in her heart for her grandbabies, Jimmy, Lorelai, Michael (Mikey Pie), Frankie and Gordo.
Daughter to the late Anna Fronzi and late Gianni Fronzi. Sister to Rita Taraborelli (late Eddie) and Cathy Paciocco (John Paul). Daughter in law to the late Clara Schell and late Gordon Schell. Sister-in-law to Peter Schell (Shelley), late John Schell (Renee), Tom Schell (Barbara), Dan Schell (late Pauline), Joanne West (Norm) and Gloria. She will be missed by many Nieces and Nephews. Life long best friend of Lucille Carson and Francine Tomas.
Born in Faro, Italy, Mandy’s parents immigrated here to Sault Ste Marie when she was 5 years old. Mandy had a very special aura about her and would easily make friends anywhere she went. She will be forever missed by many friends throughout school and growing up, and especially by those made through her employment at MPAC and Norbear. Mandy certainly found comfort in her retirement, having the chance to spend her last few years with her best friend as much as possible. She always loved her old science fiction tv shows on repeat along with the old tv sitcoms and game shows Bob would have on in the background. If she was at home, she would most likely be found with her tablet in hand playing solitaire, nothing else, always solitaire. Mandy always knew what she wanted, and no one could change her mind, stubborn and strong but so soft and kind at the same time. She loved her family more than anything and has left us with a devastating loss to move on from, but we can be reassured that she is finally at peace with her son.
Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Thursday September 4, 2025, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, followed by a service in the chapel.
