Swansea City have announced the loan signing of Manuel Benson from Burnley, just a day after sealing Adam Idah’s permanent move from Celtic.
Celtic had looked at Benson as a possible late signing during the final days of the window, but the club failed to get a deal agreed.
Swansea moved quickly and have now confirmed the Belgian winger, following up on their deadline-day capture of Idah for £7 million.

The 22-year-old will now join up with Idah, who became a fan favourite at Celtic during his initial loan spell but left on deadline day after failing to hit the same heights once his £9.5 million permanent transfer went through last summer.
For Swansea, the two deals give their squad a clear boost. Benson brings pace and creativity on the wing, while Idah offers power through the middle – a partnership that could be key to their promotion hopes.
For Celtic, the picture is less positive. The Hoops lost Idah and missed out on Benson, while also seeing striker targets Kasper Dolberg and David Datro Fofana go elsewhere.

A late move for Kelechi Iheanacho came too late to solve the shortage before the deadline passed.
The sight of both Idah and Benson unveiled by Swansea in the space of 24 hours shows the difference in how the clubs handled their business. While the Championship side added two proven attacking options, Celtic ended the summer window short of the reinforcements Brendan Rodgers had pushed for.
