The Youngstown State women’s golf team will continue its fall schedule on Monday when it begins play in the two-day Total Athlete Collegiate at the Country Club of the North in Xenia, Ohio.
The Penguins are coming off their first team victory of the fall season after winning the YSU Kickoff in dominant fashion on Monday at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio. YSU recorded a single-round team score of 292 to win the one-day event by an impressive 50 strokes over runner-up Westminster.
Junior Neeranuch Prajunpanich has earned medalist honors twice in the first two events of the 2025-26 season, picking up where she left off after a historic sophomore campaign that featured an individual win at the Horizon League Championship and an appearance at the NCAA Columbus Regional. The Samut Prakan, Thailand, native shared medalist honors at the season-opening Tiger Classic hosted by Clemson with a two-round score of 137 (67-70). Prajunpanich followed that performance by firing a career low and bogey-free, eight-under-par round of 64 at the YSU Kickoff to earn medalist honors by 11 strokes and match the school record for lowest individual 18-hole score.
The tournament field at the Total Athlete Collegiate will feature eight other schools including Akron, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Cedarville, Eastern Illinois, Murray State, Northern Kentucky and Tennessee Tech.
The teams are scheduled to play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday in the two-day, 54-hole event. Play is slated to begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. each day. The course will play approximately 6,237 yards and par is 72. Live scoring will be available via Leaderboard King through links posted on YSUsports.com.
Head Coach Nate Miklos has announced that YSU’s five-player lineup will feature Prajunpanich, Maddi Shoults, Valentina Peña Anaya, Sofia Perez Escarcena and Bella Saur. In addition, Adena Rugola will be competing as an individual for the Pengins.
Youngstown State will use the same five-player for the third consecutive event to begin the fall season. Rugola will be competing as an individual for the second straight tournament after making her season debut at the YSU Kickoff.
The Penguins will continue the fall portion of their 2025-26 season on Sept. 21-22 by playing host to the Roseann Schwartz Invitational at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio.
