The Miami Heat have a young roster, and Erik Spoelstra will have to work hard to get the most out of them.

The Miami Heat are entering a new era in 2025. For the first time in almost a decade, the Heat are starting the season without a bona fide superstar on their roster.

The Heat traded Jimmy Butler to the Warriors in February. And after a disastrous playoff run where they got bested by the Cleveland Cavaliers, they entered a turbulent offseason.

The Heat failed to land Kevin Durant, with the Phoenix Suns eventually accepting an offer from the Houston Rockets.

Aside from picking Kasparas Jakucionis in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Miami Heat didn’t make any major roster moves ahead of the new season. So what does their lineup look like next season?

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has a young roster on his hands and will have to rely on some of his more experienced stars to lead the way.

This is what the Miami Heat starting lineup will look like:

The idea of starting both Tyler Herro and Norman Powell is odd, given how similar their player profiles are. But Erik Spoelstra has been known to play similar players together in the past.

The second unit is comprised of several young prospects like Davion Mitchell, Nikola Jovic, and Kel’el Ware, all getting some shine coming off the bench.

Miami Heat will look to attract star players with solid season

The Miami Heat have been a superstar destination for years now. The prime location, combined with the oft-lauded ‘Heat Culture,’ makes it a big landing spot for star players.

However, having failed to land another superstar this year to carry the mantle forward, the Heat will be focused on developing their young talent.

But if their young stars can show glimpses of their potential, then older superstars will consider joining the team next season.

There is a roadmap for the Heat to sign Kevin Durant and LeBron James next season. But you can rest assured that several NBA superstars will have their eyes firmly on the Heat to see how they perform.
