York Regional Police are investigating two reports of gunshots being fired at two homes in Vaughan overnight Sunday.

York Regional Police say they are investigating after shots were fired at a Vaughan home early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the area of Via Romano Boulevard and Allison Ann Way at around 4:43 a.m. Police say no injuries were reported.

Police also responded to a similar incident just minutes before at around 4:18 a.m. in the area of Pottery Place and Blue Willow Drive. However, police have not confirmed whether the two are related.

This is the third incident of its kind in less than 24 hours in the city of Vaughan. The first was reported on Saturday in the area Farrell Road at around 6:25 a.m.

Officials say an increased police presence is expected in the area as the investigation continues.

There is no suspect description at this time.
